We bought her in May 2012 with the objective of running in the Aintree Foxhunters. She gave her owners and I had a fantastic day at Aintree last year, even though she finished a close second.
Its always been a favourite racecourse for me so to get so close was such a thrill.
We ran her again this year, however she didn’t feel quite the same horse. She got round but didn’t get placed.
We have decided to retire her and get her in foal. We're going to use Sulamani, Malinas or Great Pretender, all of whom stand at Yorton Farm Stud. She has to go through certain tests before to make sure she is clean from any disease that could be passed on to the stallion. She will then go to the stud to be scanned and checked over and then put in foal as soon as possible.
The gestation period is 11 months so the sooner we get her in foal the better. She will stay here then for the summer and go back to the stud to foal next spring and then her and the foal will come back here.
We will keep regular updates so you can follow the journey right the way through!!
