Lucky Lover Boy's best form is when he finished 4th in a hot race at Salisbury. He was staying on strongly and galloped through the line of the stiff 1m 6f course. In that race he had horses behind him rated 109, 125 and 111 (over hurdles). He also comfortably beat BAMAKO DU CHATELET who racked up back to back wins 3 weeks later. In my view Lucky Lover Boy has a lot of untapped potential and will be great fun.
Bossiney Bay is officially rated 75 but has a highest official rating of 79 which is perfect to go hurdling. She won over 1m 2f at Leicester which is a stiff track and shows that she will definitely get the trip over hurdles. She is a good size and moves beautifully, when I bought her at the sales (as seen in the photo) she looked quite poor and she has already done fantastically well since coming here. She is a tough genuine filly who is so game and taken to jumping very quickly.
They will both be ready to go hurdling very soon and will be a lot of fun through the winter and into the summer. You can allow an increase in ratings of 35-40lbs when going over hurdles so with these two we will have a lot of fun off their current ratings and they both can definitely improve as well.
