It was great to get a winner yesterday at Huntingdon when Strong resemblance won in in very good style. He has now recorded 2 victories and 1 second in the last 15 days and seems to be loving life at Stockton Hall.
We have 3 runners on Wednesday and they all go to their respective races in good heart, Lord County is our Sole runner up at Ayr but after a progressive first season under rules last year when he recorded 3 wins we are looking forward to seeing him make his chase debut. He goes there is good order and should run a nice race. Sean Bowen rides and hopefully he will get a nice spin after schooling professionally at home. He is still only 4 and the weight for age should put him in there with a live chance.
We take 2 runners down to Exeter today where Late Romantic will also be making his Chase debut under rules, he was a very impressive winner of 2 point to points last season before being very unlucky at Uttoxeter. Being a past point to point winner he should be a exciting chasing recruit for the season ahead. This race offers very good prize money so as you would expect it looks pretty competitive. He schooled well again yesterday and hopefully this will be a nice starting point for the season ahead.
Stable Star Zalvados has ran some big races in defeat in ultra competitive handicaps and we looked to have found a slightly easier opportunity for him today in the handicap hurdle in Exeter’s card. He was slightly disappointing last time but he had his excuses and we feel he should be a lot more competitive today. We feel the galloping track should suit and hopefully Paddy Brennan can deliver him with a big chance up the home straight.
